The St. Patrick's Day 2009 campaign objectives were to promote sober driving and protective behaviours on St. Patrick's Day. The protective behaviours included:
- Promote the use of taxi services
- Promote the use of designated drivers
- Eating before consuming alcohol
- Education on metabolism of alcohol
